Highlights

More information

Imagine walking through the forest alongside a trained Harris Hawk, watching it glide between the trees before landing on your outstretched glove. That's what our Apprentice Falconer Walk delivers — a hands-on, private introduction to falconry, right at Tremblant resort.

Accompanied by our falconer specialist, each apprentice gets equipped with a falconers glove called a gauntlet, a falconry bag, and food for the hawk. You'll call the raptor to your hand several times during the walk, experiencing its flight up close and learning how falconers work with birds of prey.

During the walk, our falconer covers the fundamentals of the craft:

  • The characteristics and behaviours of birds of prey
  • The history as well as the modern role of falconry
  • Falconry equipment and handling techniques
  • Free-flight and bird-calling technique

This is a private experience — your group, your pace, your falconer. Perfect for wildlife enthusiasts, families, and anyone curious about this amazing connection between humans and raptors.

Who is this for

This walk is designed for anyone curious about wildlife and the natural world — no prior experience required. The pace is easy and accessible, with a short forest trail. Participants interact directly with the hawk, so a basic level of mobility and the ability to stand with an outstretched arm is all that's needed.

Ideal for families, couples, and small groups looking for a memorable, hands-on outdoor experience.
