Can I keep the fish to eat it?

We encourage catch and release but if you catch a fish that is legal to keep, you can bring it with you. On Lake Ouimet and Lake Tremblant, it is catch and release only.

On our Lake Tremblant fishing excursion, our experienced guide will share his favorite fishing spots on the 12 km lake. You’ll learn several different techniques, and how to choose the right bait to lure musky, smallmouth bass, landlocked salmon and lake trout. All our Lake Tremblant fishing is catch and release, so make sure to take some photos if you catch ‘the big one’!

This trip leaves from the Federal dock, 5 minutes from Tremblant resort, and takes place in a fully equipped 22 foot fishing boat (150 hp).

IMPORTANT

Fishing permit is obligatory but NOT INCLUDED. Guests will have to acquire their fishing permits before the activity (or have their own Quebec fishing permit). Fishing permits can be acquired at the following locations in Mont-Tremblant:

    • Know before you book :

  • Fishing permit is obligatory but is NOT INCLUDED. Guests will have to acquire their fishing permits before the activity.
  • Maximum 4 participants including a child regardless of age.
  • No minimum age.
  • Catch and release only.
  • Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Please dress appropriately for your Lake Tremblant fishing excursion. See our What to wear section.
  • We recommend that you wear long sleeves, rain suit (if needed), hat, sunglasses, bug spray and sunscreen.

  • Our base is 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from Tremblant resort, approximately 2h from Montreal and Ottawa.
  • Duration: 4h of fishing on Lake Tremblant.
  • For guests who choose to reserve in advance (recommended), directions to meeting points will be provided in your reservation by email. Otherwise, directions will be handed to you when you reserve at The Activity Centre.
  • Prices do not include taxes or mandatory resort royalty of 3% and may be subject to change without notice.
